Who makes up NZ Collab's audience?
Right now my Instagram followers are over 16,000 and counting - with a smaller audience over on facebook.
A whopping 92% are women and almost half of my total audience are aged between 25 and 34 with a third aged 35 to 44.
All but a few are Kiwis and more than a third are based in Auckland.
My following has grown organically since 2018 and I don't pay for any followers like some influencers do. They're all genuinely interested in supporting local businesses.
What's involved in working with NZ Collab?
Traditionally my collabs have been product based, where businesses will kindly send me their products to use/wear/taste and I'll do a post with photos and text (which I write) and can include any extra details requested. I'll also always do at least 3 instagram stories with review notes, facts about the product and anything else relevant or requested. Where multiple products are given, depending on how many there are and how they're used etc. I'll sometimes do 10+ stories. Each post and story has the business tagged so that my followers can find them and also so that they can share on their own account. All brands I work with are included in my website directory so followers can find them and I make a very conscious effort to show my support to these brands through engagement with their insta posts as much as possible (although I am at the mercy of instagram algorithms which dictate which posts I do see).
Collabs have included straight product reviews, launch stories, giveaways, discount codes and I'm happy to help with brand rep searches or just about anything you can think of.
I've only worked with businesses that I feel are appropriate for my audience and/or my family and I have turned down offers - please don't be offended!
Due to so many requests from service based businesses, I decided to expand my collabs to cater to a wider range of businesses. There is now the option to post a feature for services or product based businesses for a small fee. This feature includes a post with photos and text of your choice (I'm happy to write for you if you wish) and up to 3 insta stories with images and text of your choice. Just like the above, you'll be tagged in each one and you can include promo codes, giveaways or whatever you wish. The fee for this service just covers my time spent putting the feature together and is also out of respect to all of the amazing businesses I've worked with so far who have kindly gifted me so many incredible products. Lastly it limits the number of posts I do as I don't wish to dilute what I share or annoy my wonderful followers.
If you have any questions about working together or would like to propose something different then please just send me a DM on instagram or email me at info@nzcollab.co.nz.
What kind of fee do you charge?
For the feature posts there are packages starting at $60 which includes a post, multiple stories and some come with extras such as mini features or a website directory . No products are sent and this is suitable for service or product based businesses if you'd rather work together in this way.
I also have a mini feature where for just $25 your business will be included in a series of insta stories with images and text of your choice. This can be a one-off or you can choose to book multiple mini features as an ongoing promotion or to share a new product, a sale, giveaway or upcoming market etc.
I do have other options in my “Get Featured” page and these are ever evolving to offer businesses a package that works for them.
I have tried to keep the charges low and these are just to cover the time and work involved in putting the feature or showcase together. I feel they’re a very cost-effective way for a local business to get their products in front of an audience of over 16,000 Kiwis.
When do you post?
When I'm sent products as part of a collab, I like to have time to use them for long enough to be able to review them properly and to share my opinion. I also work to a schedule depending on what else I have ready to publish. But unless it’s something like skincare which I’d like to use for sometime first, it generally won’t take much longer than a week between receiving products and posting. Sometimes it’s within a couple of days just depending on the backlog.
I do my best to limit the posts I do per day and I time my posts around the time of the day that my engagement is at its highest. This differs depending on the day of the week but if you have any questions or preferences please just let me know.
